Cowper Road, Bromley
Architect, developer and builder Mark Watts of Cedar Rydal Ltd has undertaken a newbuild low energy development of four houses in Bromley, Greater London. The development includes a terrace comprising 3 units as well as a detached house, all with 3 bedrooms.
The houses are now on the market through JDM. The houses achieved an airtightness level of around 2 air changes per hour and it was modelled in SAP with the aim of achieving an EPC rating in the range of A-B. The insulation strategy included installing insulation in the wall (220mm) , floor (130mm) and roof (400mm) and specification of 21°’s PERFORMANCE triple glazed timber windows and doors.

Mark specified 21°'s PERFORMANCE triple glazed timber tilt and turn windows, entrance doors and French doors for the project. The windows in the terrace also had interstitial glazing bars.
We looked at a wide range of window suppliers and 21°’s PERFORMANCE range stood out for us on quality and price.
Unfortunately we had some damage to the windows during installation (NOT installed by 21°’s own fitting team but by another installer); fortunately they were easily repaired. 21°s AfterSales team were excellent and helped adjust all the external doors within tolerances. We really got the feeling that 21° were on our side and batting for us. They have been a nice bunch of people to deal with.
We are very happy with the quality and robustness of the PERFORMANCE windows and doors. We have had a lot of positive feedback about them.
