Today, low energy and Passivhaus experts, Green Building Store, has released its new range of windows and doors with its highest ever energy efficiency, airtightness, security and weather tightness. The products will be officially launched at the Homebuilding and Renovating Show in Harrogate.
The new triple glazed range, which has U values as low as 0.71 W/m2K for some products, introduces a new slimmer frame whilst maintaining dual compression seals that achieve class 4 long term airtightness standards across all products. All windows and doors in the range are available as timber and aluminium clad timber, inward or outward opening.
The slimmer frame profiles of the new range increase the glazed area whilst still maintaining high thermal performance, security and weather performance. Secured by Design (SBD) is an option across all products, and all windows and doors have achieved class 9a water tightness.
Bespoke and made-to-measure options are possible, so both windows and doors are available in many shapes, sizes and designs. The timber and aluminium clad frames are available in any of the 216 RAL classic colours and a range of wood stains.
Green Building Store uses a whole house approach to provide products and services for better performing buildings from a comfort, cost and carbon perspective. As well as its triple glazed timber windows and doors, Green Building Store supplies a range of specialist products and services, including Mechanical heat recovery ventilation (MVHR), insulation, airtightness and building services.
To appreciate the energy efficient benefits of triple glazing, including the continuity of thermal performance, Green Building Store only recommends replacing windows throughout a whole house or building for replacement or retrofit projects.
Luke Gilman, Green Building Store Windows Department Manager, said, “We have a window to suit all projects, whether standard replacement, deep retrofit, low energy EnerPHit or a Passivhaus new build. Our new range of windows and doors will make a genuine difference to the comfort of your home by keeping it warm during the colder months and cooler during the summer.
“We’ve worked hard to build a reputation for customer service, integrity and responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that our products are of the highest quality, backed by industry accreditations, and specified by companies at the forefront of energy-efficiency construction. Our new range of windows and doors is no exception, and our detailed knowledge and advice ensure that all our customers can rely on expert consultation at every step of their project.”
The new range of windows comes with a full range of ancillary products, such as extension sills, glazing bars, trickle vents and child safety locks.
Andy Mitchell, Green Building Stores Managing Director, added, “At Green Building Store, we believe people thrive in the places where they experience comfort. Our new range of high performance windows and doors for low energy and Passivhaus homes will improve the very fabric of a building, making it more energy efficient and a healthier and more comfortable place to be.
“We are extremely proud of the work that has gone into the design and production of these windows. This is reflected in our windows and doors’ high standards in airtightness, security and weather performance. We believe in better buildings and these products make that belief a reality for any self builder or retrofitter who wants an ultra energy efficient home.”
