Green Building Store is working with Trees for Yorkshire & Colne Valley Tree Society to plant trees around in the White Rose Forest at Scammonden Water near Huddersfield and has committed to help plant 1000 trees over four years. On Saturday 12 March 2016, Green Building Store staff and families joined Colne Valley Tree Society to plant 220 oak trees, at the third annual Green Building Store tree planting event.

Chris Herring, Director of Green Building Store commented: “Green Building Store is delighted to support Trees for Yorkshire and the Colne Valley Tree Society and we have committed to help plant 1000 trees over four years. The work of Trees for Yorkshire is closely allied to our own work to cut carbon emissions through low energy and Passivhaus building. Our staff and their families really enjoy getting involved with the tree-planting and there is a great sense of community on the day.”
