Green Building Store's ENERsign windows specified at Zero Carbon House, Birmingham
Zero Carbon House, BirminghamGreen Building Store's ENERsign Passivhaus certified windows have been specified for the Zero Carbon House, in Birmingham.
Designed by John Christophers of Associated Architect, the project has just won a RIBA award for architectural excellence.
Designed to meet the requirements of Code for Sustainable Homes level 6 the Zero Carbon House is an extension of a redbrick Victorian house, converting a 2-bedroom semi-detached into a 4-bedroom dwelling with a studio loft. It extends upwards and outwards: upwards to catch the sun otherwise obscured by a taller neighbouring house, sideways for more space.
John Christophers said of Green Building Store's ENERsign range: "After looking at over 20 different triple-glazed windows we chose ENERsign for their excellent thermal performance and lovely slim sightlines."
