Delivery & installation

Delivery

Our insulation supplies come direct from the insulation manufacturer and are delivered by a commercial delivery company.  The delivery company will contact you to inform you about their delivery schedule prior to delivery.   We do try very hard to ensure that delivery is as convenient as possible for you and we will make every effort to ensure that the delivery company is aware of any special requirements you have for delivery.  However you do need to be aware that the delivery companies deal with these items as building materials, so delivery may not be quite as convenient as some of our other products.  In particular you should be aware of the following.

  1. Delivery may be made by a large lorry.  If you have difficult access you need to tell us this immediately.
  2. Because insulation materials are bulky they are often palletised to ensure safe and efficient delivery.  In common with other building materials the delivery company will only unload the pallet or packs of insulation to a location convenient to them at your address.  They should not be relied upon to split pallets or take items into houses or storage facilities.  You may need to make arrangements to move your insulation from the unloading location into your house or storage facilities.
  3. If delivery is on a pallet, the delivery company will normally leave this with your insulation.  You will need to make suitable arrangements to dispose of the pallet later.

Our charge for insulation delivery is based on these delivery conditions and there is normally very little we can do to vary them.  However, if any of these points give you concern, please do talk to us as soon as possible.

Warmcel 100 is exceptionally easy to install, and is ideal for the DIY installer. Warmcel comes in easy to handle 8kg bags for ease of carrying and lifting.  Warmcel is easy to install and requires no special clothing or tools, although crawling boards should be used at all times when working in lofts. If Warmcel is added to existing insulation, there is no need to remove existing insulation, simply install Warmcel on top.

Just slit open the easy-to-handle 8 kg bags, pour and spread out. You need no special clothing to install Warmcel 100, although a simple dust mask is recommended. To insulate your loft hatch, just order our loft hatch insulation kit, along with your Warmcel 100 order.

NB We only recommend Warmcel 100 where the roof is 'felted' (ie. has roofing felt or membrane laid under the slates or tiles, as a secondary protection against water ingress).
