Some of our window ranges are best suited to particular types of projects, so here is a quick short-cut guide to help you choose the product you need:
Social housing and housing association projects
Social housing projects usually have to meet Code for Sustainable Homes and security requirements, so thermal efficiency, frame materials and Secured by Design are important specification factors. Our Ecocontract range has been developed with the needs of social housing in mind, but is also ideal for schools, offices and commercial buildings trying to meet BREEAM requirements.
Passivhaus projects
Passivhaus and low energy projects have very strict thermal efficiency requirements, for which only our Ecopassiv and ENERsign ranges are suitable.
Domestic projects
For self-builds or refurbishments requiring an environmentally sensitive option with minimal impact on the environment, Ecoplus is our flagship range. Ecoplus
is made in our workshops in West Yorkshire and aims to systematically
address the environmental issues associated with window manufacture -
including thermal efficiency, frame materials and finishes. It offers
triple glazed as standard, FSC Pure timber, boron timber preservatives
and is hand-finished with natural plant oil paints. Also ideal for
flagship environmental projects.
