Teplo basalt wall ties – minimising thermal bridging
Teplo Ties are ideal for for minimising thermal bridging in cavity wall construction and for high performance low energy construction projects, including Passivhaus construction. Teplo Ties were used in our Denby Dale Passivhaus project, and we were so impressed with their strength and low thermal conductivity that we have now started to supply them.
Summary
- Made using pultruded basalt fibre
- Available in lengths between 200 mm and 425 mm to suit cavities up to 300 mm width.
- Thermal conductivity of 0.7W/mK
- Valued 0 in U-value calculations to EN ISO 6946
- Diameter range between 4 mm and 7mm , normally increasing in proportion to the cavity width, but 7 mm diameter ties available for all standard lengths.
- Suitable for use in Passivhaus cavity wall construction cavities.
- Sand finish provides excellent mortar key
- End caps are supplied with each tie to reduce the risk of injury on-site
