Why steel?Image lindab montage

Lindab Rainline is a comprehensive and thoroughly tested steel guttering system which offers a more robust and durable alternative to PVC rainwater systems.  Aside from environmental concerns about PVC, steel systems offer significant advantages over PVC systems.  PVC systems tend to discolour and become brittle with age, they are not inherently rigid (needing a large number of fixings) and suffer large thermal movement. Steel guttering systems are rigid and durable.  They can easily be recycled without any loss of quality and 50% of all world steel comes from recycled sources. In comparison with other alternatives to PVC guttering, such as cast iron or aluminium, Lindab steel guttering is cheaper, lighter and much easier to install.

Important information on plastisol coating

Lindab recently phased out use of plastisol coating on its coated range of guttering, replacing it with a high-build polyester coating. The plastisol coating did contain some PVC but now the entire Lindab Rainline range is completely PVC-free, with the high-build polyester coating providing a high quality alternative.
