ES4 wcKey features

ES4 water-efficient WC

The flushing mechanism

WCs which use valve flush mechanisms are inherently prone to leakage. Valves demand skilful and prompt maintenance to remain efficient and require specialist parts often unfamiliar to UK plumbers.

By contrast, the ES4's award winning Thomas Dudley Turbo siphon is leak-free and has been tested to over 1 million cycles without failure. The robust two-part siphon is reliable and easy to maintain, which means the ES4 can be relied on to remain efficient, year after year.

The inlet valve

The inlet valve in most WCs wastes water by allowing the cistern to start refilling during the flush. The ES4 features a virtually silent delayed-action inlet valve, which saves water by preventing the cistern refilling until the flush is finished.

The pan

The ES4's high quality ceramic pan is the key to its exceptional performance. Produced by Swedish manufacturer Ifo Sanitar AB, the pan is precisely engineered to operate effectively with an ultra-low volume flush. It is available in white ceramic, either back-to-wall or wall-mounted.

Siphon and valve flush mechanisms

The siphon flush mechanism is, by design, leak-free. It is robust, requires little maintenance and is familiar to all UK plumbers. In contrast even the best valve flush mechanisms need to be carefully commissioned to ensure efficient functioning, and monitored to ensure that they do not jam or leak. Spare parts are less readily available in the UK, and the mechanisms less familiar to UK plumbers. In comparison with the most efficient approved valve dual flush WC (6/3 litres), ES4 can also be expected to operate with better overall water efficiency.
