Solar spaces
Ecoplus3 solar spaces include bespoke conservatories and
purpose made glazed areas integrated into the building
fabric. Our unique environmental specification and
outstanding thermal insulation values offer exceptional
design opportunities for conservatories as well as for more unusual glazed spaces.
Timber
Green Building Store's solar spaces are available in FSC 100% laminated finger jointed European redwood or oak.
Performance
All Ecoplus3 solar spaces incorporate ultra efficient glazing units, offering Uw values of 1.4 W/m2K*. Our ultra-efficent glazing not only offers outstanding thermal performance, but superior light transmission and optical clarity in comparison with other Low-E glazing systems. Please note: triple glazing is not available as standard on conservatories, as it would be an over-specification.
Solar control
Solar spaces on southerly aspects can suffer from excess solar gain during
the summer and consequent overheating. To help with this, we offer solar control glazing, reducing solar gain, but offering the same excellent
thermal performance as standard glazing.
Roof vents
To avoid the use of environmentally damaging PVC, the optional roof vents fitted to our solar spaces are made of aluminium, in a choice of polyester powder-coated options.
Guttering
All solar spaces are normally supplied with Lindab galvanised steel guttering,
in a range of colour options.
