Natural finishes
Ecoplus uses OSMO natural plant based finishes which rely on the ability of many plant oils to penetrate
deeply into and bond with the timber surface, giving exceptional durability and making maintenance and repainting incredibly easy as there is no peeling, cracking or blistering. The OSMO finishes mean that Ecoplus3 windows & doors can be easily touched up by applying an extra coat, without the need for sanding and laborious preparation. OSMO finishes are so safe they have been deemed safe enough to use on children's toys (safety standard EN 71).
Timber treatment
Pioneered by our company in 1995, the pine Ecoplus3 range is treated with inorganic boron-based mineral salts. As well as being highly effective against blue stain, rot and mildew, borates are widely recognised as the safest and most environmentally benign treatment available.
