BORON TIMBER TREATMENT
Pioneered by our company in 1995, our Redwood timber is treated with
inorganic borates, widely recognised as the safest and most
environmentally benign treatment available.
NATURAL TIMBER FINISHES
Hand-painted with OSMO timber finishes, which harness the natural protection of plant
oils, with no synthetic resins, biocides or other toxic ingredients. Not only does this mean very low environmental impact, but a
finish which is so safe it is approved for use on childrens toys.
FSC CERTIFICATION
Timber is
the natural resource if it is sourced from well managed forests.
Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) Pure 100% certification is your guarantee
that all timber is responsibly sourced. FSC is the only global
certification scheme endorsed by all major environmental NGOs and the
UK government.
THERMAL EFFICIENCY
Argon fill triple glazing is used as standard offering whole window U values of 1.0 W/mēK. Triple glazing with Krypton fill is also available, offering whole window U values of 0.8 W/mēK. Double glazed Argon filled units offering whole window U values of 1.4 W/mēK are also available for solar spaces or sites where triple glazing is not an option (eg listed buildings).
ENGINEERED TIMBER
Our timber is engineered using the latest lamination and finger-joint
technology. This not only meets our exacting performance standards but
also optimises the use of timber and reduces our impact on this natural
resource.
HIGH PERFORMANCE DESIGN
Enhanced weather and air tightness in windows and doors is critical
both for comfort and reduced CO2 emissions. A 'Registered Design' at
the Patent Office, our new flush profile not only has a contemporary
look but features the latest European advances in design and performance.
WARM EDGE GLAZING TECHNOLOGY
Conventional metallic spacer bars result in heat loss and condensation
at the edge of the glazing unit. All Ecoplus windows and doors
are now supplied with warm-edge spacers offering a true 'warm edge' solution
- the perfect complement to our advanced glazing systems.

Green Building Store offers a fitting service which is accredited with both FENSA and Constructionline. The service is available for most areas of the UK, dependent on contract size.
