Fitting service
Green Building Store offers a fitting service which is accredited with both FENSA and Constructionline. The service is available for most areas of the UK, dependent on contract size. Please ask us for a quote.
If you wish to organise your own installation, please note the following:
How windows are packaged
Glazing units are normally supplied loose for fitting on site. Handles, trickle vents, letterboxes and cat flaps are also supplied loose. Factory glazing is offered at extra cost.
How doors are packaged
Doors are usually despatched in one unit with frame and door leaf. Doors may be removed from frames for transit and will then require site hanging and adjustment.
Delivery vehicle
The delivery will normally be made by large lorry. If access is not suitable for this size of vehicle we can arrange for smaller transport.
Delivery times
Delivery is normal during office hours on the specified delivery day, but some flexibility is possible, depending on your needs.
Site access
The delivery will normally be made by articulated lorry. If access is not available for this size of vehicle we can arrange for smaller lorries to be used.
Unloading from the lorry
When we deliver, assistance will be required with offloading heavy items. We must emphasise that some items can be very heavy and you must ensure that you have sufficient people capable of heavy lfting on site when we deliver.
Checking the windows
You will be provided with an advice note which will accompany your delivery. Please use this to check off the items included in the delivery. We need to know as soon as possible (in any event within 14 days) when any items arrive damaged or, within 24 hours where incorrect quantities are found.
