Finishes
All Ecocontract windows and doors are treated and fully factory finished with high quality coatings from Remmers Baustofftechnik, who are recognised as a world leader in the manufactures of coatings for the building and wood finishing industry. All Remmers paints and stains are microporous, water-based (not solvent based) and offer outstanding durability. These are low toxicity synthetic paints.
A range of stain colours is available, while opaque finishes (paints) are available in white and the complete range of standard RAL colours. *
As with all timber finishes, opaque paint finishes can be expected to be more durable than semi-translucent stains. The expected life before first recoat with Remmers opaque finishes is 10 years, although this can of course vary significantly depending on aspect and exposure.
