Wood is by nature one of the most durable building materials, if properly protected. For maximum durability, OS Color finishes are based solely on natural oils and waxes. Unlike synthetic finishes, natural oils and waxes penetrate into wood, keeping it healthy and elastic while preventing it from becoming dry and brittle. They are also microporous, allowing natural moisture movement and reducing shrinking and swelling of the timber.
OS Color finishes are very easy to apply and only require one or two coats over bare wood. They are exceptionally weather resistant and durable and will never crack, peel or blister. Renewing the coating is a simple matter of cleaning off the surface and reapplying. No sanding, scraping or burning off.
OS Color finishes are also very safe. They do not contain biocides or preservatives.
In order to protect against harmful UV rays from the sun, it is always advisable to use a pigmented finish. We do not recommend the use of colourless finishes for exterior use.
ONE COAT ONLY exterior solvent free One Coat Only is a transparent matt woodstain which needs only one coat to fully protect most external timber.
ONE COAT ONLY is extremely weather and UV resistant, and will not crack, flake, peel or blister, allowing for easy renewal.
ONE COAT ONLY is also available as Clear Colourless OS000. For maximum protection on windows and doors we recommend application of a second coat of Clear Colourless, to produce a satin finish. 0.75L, 2.5L
COUNTRY COLOUR exterior Country colour is an attractive, opaque, satin-matt woodfinish based on natural oils.
With no primer required, this is a great substitute for paint on all bare external woodwork, including windows, doors and claddings.
Unlike conventional paint there is no danger of peeling or flaking, and renewal is very easy. 0.75L, 2.5L

A clear, satin wood finish for exterior and interior application with a great variety of uses. It is based on natural oils and micro-porous, therefore it will not crack, flake, peel or blister. . The smooth, silky surface will not water mark, dirt can easily be wiped off. It is moisture regulating and reduces swelling and shrinking of the wood.
It is equally well suited for all wood species and qualities, new or old, rough or smooth, for interior as well as for exterior use (it is weather resistant but offers no UV-protection - use products such as one-coat only for this). It is very easy to apply, and will not dry during application even in high temperatures (no brushmarks).
