Green Building Store has just launched (Thursday 11th March 2003) a new professional division, Less is more, offering a range of products and services specifically for the public and commercial sectors. Building upon its considerable experience supplying sustainable building products, Green Building Store felt the need to develop a separate division catering to increasing demand from the public and commercial markets. Recent government initiatives and sustainable procurement policies, as well as financial incentives, have made local authorities, housing associations and businesses look increasingly to environmental construction methods and materials.
Products in the Less is more portfolio have been carefully selected to offer not only environmental benefits but also significant financial and commercial benefits. The range currently includes: ES4 water-efficient WC; AIRFLUSH Urinal System; Megrame timber and aluminium-clad windows and doors; and Lindab galvanised steel rainwater goods.
In addition, Green Building Store is offering a range of services specifically tailored to the needs of the local authority, housing association or commercial specifier, including:
• Complete technical specification service for architects and specifiers, enabling the easier specification of products in tender documentation (available June 2004).

• Continuing Professional Development seminars on water-saving technologies.

Green Building Store already has extensive experience of manufacturing and supplying sustainable building products for a range of public sector and commercial projects. Clients have included the Scottish Seabird Centre, National Trust and Forestry Commission and projects have ranged from schools, fire stations and health centres to visitor centres and churches.
