Green Building Store & Green Building Company are offering a FREE workshop on Passivhaus & low energy retrofits on Wednesday 8th February 2012 at Slaithwaite Civic Hall in Slaithwaite near Huddersfield. The evening workshop (running from 7-9pm) is intended for people wanting to improve the comfort, warmth and environmental performance of their homes and will be presented by Green Building Store Directors Chris Herring & Bill Butcher. Bill is a recently accredited Certified Passive House Consultant and both Bill and Chris will be applying their Passivhaus expertise to renovations of existing homes.
The workshop will cover:
Passivhaus low energy building & refurbishments- Local eco-refurbishment case studies
- Insulating hard-to-treat properties
- Avoiding moisture & condensation
- The Government's forthcoming 'Green Deal' policy
The event will also include:
- 10 minute film 'Future Passiv' - an introduction to Passivhaus
- Eco refurbishment question & answer session
- Tea, coffee & refreshments
