ENERsign range of Passivhaus windows & doors launches in UK
Specialist sustainable building products supplier Green Building Store is launching at Ecobuild (Tuesday 3rd March 2009) the ENERsign window and door range into the UK market. Part of Green Building Store's new Passivhaus range, ENERsign offers one of the world's lowest window U values at 0.65 W/m2K. Certified by the Passivhaus Insitute, ENERsign offers an exciting option for specifiers of Passivhaus, AECB Gold Standard, CSH Level 5/6 buildings and other ultra low energy buildings.
ENERsign achieves its excellent thermal efficiency through advanced design detailing including: triple glazing with warm edge spacers; Neopor foam frame insulant; and rigid frame for maximum airtightness. ENERsign also represents a revolution in window design. The unique composite design combines the advantages of fibreglass and timber, while minimising frame size and maximising glass area. Viewed from the outside, ENERsign features a narrow fibreglass frame, which can be integrated neatly into the shell of the building. Viewed from the inside, ENERsign offers the aesthetic appeal of an engineered timber frame. The slim sightlines, elegant concealed sash design and advanced level of technical performance mean that ENERsign should appeal to architects and building physicists alike.
The UK launch of ENERsign completes Green Building Store's new range of Passivhaus products and services, which also includes the Ecopassiv window range, PAUL MVHR systems, Pro Clima airtightness tapes and membranes and a Design & Build service. By introducing its Passivhaus range, Green Building Store hopes to help facilitate the uptake of Passivhaus design and construction in the UK.
