Long lasting - 15 year warranty
Originally developed to withstand the high snow loads and extreme temperatures of the Swedish climate, Lindab has performed perfectly for the past 40 years and now accounts for over 90% of all above ground drainage systems throughout Scandinavia.
Wherever it has been installed in the UK it has outperformed alternative systems. Those responsible for the maintenance of these installations report that in their experience the Lindab Rainline rainwater system is, to all intents and purposes, maintenance free.
New Lindab Rainline with Aluzinc has a steel core with aluminium, zinc and silicon coating and is estimated to have a life expectancy of 100 years*. Outdoor exposure tests have been in progress in Scandinavia for almost 20 years and have demonstrated that Aluzinc has an exceptionally low corrosion rate, particularly in industrial or marine environments. Both Aluzinc and polyester-coated Lindab Rainline products come with a 15 year warranty.

Lightweight - High Strength
Although it is lighter and easier to handle than cast iron or aluminium LindabRainline has far greater strength than plastic - thanks to its hi-tech construction. In fact, LindabRainline is so strong that the rolled lip running along its outer edge may be confidently used as a ladder rest.
Corrosion Resistant
The coatings applied to the core are such that, even when cut, the anti-corrosive properties remain. Where cuts or abrasions occur a galvanic reaction takes place. (The core functions as a cathode, the zinc coating an anode, and moisture as an electrolyte). The bare metal is then sealed against further oxidisation. This means that LindabRainline is resistant to rust!
Easy to install
No special tools or skills are required, gutters and downpipes simply push together - without the need for sealants. Installers consistently claim "It's the best system we've ever fitted."
Thermal and UV stability
Lindab Rainline is manufactured from modern high technology material. One of the benefits of this is its extremely low thermal expansion co-efficient. (Plastic expands and contracts over six times as much!) Once installed, this system will not bend, creak or warp, and as such will not suffer the stress which leads to the rapid deterioration and leaking joints often associated with plastic systems.
Vandal Resistant
As the system does not shatter or crack if abused, it is well suited to installation in areas where vandalism may occur. Brackets are also available to enable the down pipes to be fixed close to the wall, thus deterring their use as a means of gaining access to upper levels of property.
Colour range
Lindab Rainline is available from Green Building Store in a range of colours (polyester coated) as well as plain Galvanised and Aluzinc-coated metal finishes.
